Monnica B. Rose,DTM, Region 3 Advisor, will be presenting "Strategies for Goal Achievement: Your Road Map to Distinguished." Does your club have enough members but not enough speaking spots? Is your club consistently able to earn DCP points to be distinguished but is not listed among the distinguished clubs due to unmet membership requirements? Has your club earned Distinguished or better status and is looking to do more? Monnica will do a quick review of the DCP, then collaborate on ways to build membership and share tips to enhance your and your member's experience.
Carol Caraway, DTM, Immediate Past Distinguished District Director, talks about “Your Role in the 2015 Strategic Plan.” The 2015 Strategic Plan identifies three specific goals for Toastmasters International. Every member helps to accomplish this plan. By reviewing the 2015 Strategic Plan, we can identify our impact and determine how we can influence the growth and success of the organization.
Pamela McCown, DTM, PID, District 56 Pathways Chief Ambassador, will update members on details of the Toastmasters Pathways program and show a preview of the learning management system functionality. In an effort to offer members improved opportunities to learn and to grow, Toastmasters is rolling out a new education program and learning management system. The Toastmasters Pathways Learning Experience represents a shift in how members interact with the education program because they will have a choice. We know you are excited to learn more about the 2017 roll out of the Pathways Learning Experience and how your club will adopt the new Pathways Learning Experience.
Cynthia Stephanie Abdon, DTM, our current District 56 Speechcraft Chair, will guide you how to organize Speechcraft. She introduces briefly, why Speechcraft is considered by Toastmasters International as the Number One membership building too. She also provides a step-by-step training on how to be a Speechcraft Sponsor, Coordinator, Presenter, or Adviser.
Allen Prescott, DTM, Past District Governor, talks about “Why YOU Should Be a Club Coach” Every Toastmaster eventually wants to earn their Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) award. On your path to DTM, you must earn your Advanced Leader Silver (ALS) award. One of the requirements for earning your ALS is that you must either be a sponsor or mentor of a brand new Toastmasters club; or, be a coach for an existing struggling club. This presentation is all about being a club coach. Allen will discuss the Toastmasters Club Coach program in detail to enable YOU to earn club coach credit towards your ALS. In addition, to assist club coaches, the district has formed a Club Coach Committee. This committee will be discussed too.
Richard Kummins,DTM, will be leading the Combined Officers Training. All club officers can learn to succeed in their roles and achieve Distinguished club status or better.
