About this event
Experience the magic and music of the Andes with the group SONQO. This band brings to life the various traditions and music heard in the South American Mountains. SONQO plays authentic Andean and Latin American music with various traditional instruments that originated during the Pre-Columbian times in combination with the stringed instruments brought by the Spanish conquistadors. These include traditional zampoñas, quenas, quenachos, antaras, zencas, rondador, ocarinas, moxeños, charango, mandolin, guitar, bombo, wankara, Peruvian cajon, claves, rainsticks, and chajchas.
SONQO offers an upbeat performance filled with beautiful harmonies that will please a diverse group of any age or background.
