Garden Buds Frequently Asked Questions

If you must cancel after registering, notify the Children's Garden at 718-886-3800 x218 or at least 10 full business days before the start of the program and the Garden will refund your fee, minus a $10 registration fee per child. Refunds for cancellations less than ten days prior to the start of the program will be issued only if a registrant from a waiting list will fill the space. No refunds or credits are issued after a garden program begins. Registrations are nontransferable. No discounts may be applied after your transaction is processed.

We encourage you to sign up on the waiting list, as spots often become available at the last minute. To be added to a waiting list, please email with your name, phone number, age of child(ren), and preferred session(s) or time slot. QBG will notify you if a spot opens up and you will have a limited time to sign up for the program before the spot is offered to the next person.

Garden Buds is a completely outdoor program. In the case that an event is cancelled due to inclement or unsafe weather, you will be notified via email. We do not make phone calls in the case of a cancellation. A make-up class will be offered week following the final scheduled class, of the same time-slot you usually attend. Make-up classes are only offered if QBG cancels the programs.

By attending QBG programs you may grant permission to Queens Botanical Garden to take and use you and your child's photograph and name in perpetuity, in all forms of print and electronic media used to promote, publicize, or advertise the Garden, its activities, and programs. If preferred, you will have the opportunity to opt out of photos when you register.
