Sports Massage Training & CPR/1st Aide - Roseville, MN
AMTA - Minnesota will hold it's Spring Conference on Saturday, April 8th in Roseville, MN, at National American University. This, one day, conference, starts at 9:00 AM and allows you to become more comfortable with on-site and sports massage, in the morning and get your 1st Aide and CPR certification in the afternoon. All while, earning 6.5 CEs!!
The morning starts with registration and welcome at 8:30 AM. On-Site Massage Training will begin at 9:00 AM with Joanie Holst, teaching you the importance of on-site massage and different techniques for working with athletes and others, outside the clinic setting. This class is worth 2.5 CEs and certifies you to be a member of the AMTA-MN Sports Massage Team.
CPR & 1st Aide will be closing out the day, from 12:30 PM -5:30 PM. The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider course is a higher level CPR class that is designed to train healthcare professionals on recognizing and responding to several life-threatening emergencies. Nearly all Healthcare workers are required to have at least this BLS class. Skills include: Providing CPR for adults, children and infants, using an Automated External Defibrillator and relieving choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.
