Spring is a season of growth; where we see things budding, blooming, and breaking through. Unity of Sacramento presents a Spring concert that captures the essence of the season in song! Come see Unity of Sacramento's Rev. Charles Cooper and special guest, the incomparable and internationally renowned Rickie Byars lead an amazing musical love-fest entitled, "Breaking New Ground" Friday, May 17, 2019. This concert, which features the band Chakra, the Voices of Unity Singers, and the Expressions of Unity Choir will warm your heart, lift your spirit, and raise your vibration to new levels!

Rickie Byars, has released nine CD's and has composed modern classics like “I Release”, “We Let it Be”, “The Spirit of God is Upon Me”, “Wholly Holy Way”, "Love", and many others over her incredible career. Her latest CD, “My Oh My It’s Time To Fly” (2018) continues to place her as one of the top New Thought artists in the world.

Rev. Charles Cooper is a Master of original scores, songs, arrangements and recordings for church worship and musical theater! Rev. Cooper has composed such songs as, "I AM", "I'll Win", "You Be Strong", "I Am The Thinker" and "Unity".

Having these two geniuses on stage together is sure to result in another memorable musical evening at Unity of Sacramento!

Tickets for Breaking New Ground Spring Concert is available for $35.00 ($30.00 for students and seniors. Students must show their Student ID card at the door. Students with student tickets, but no student ID card will be charged for a General Admission ticket. Senior Tickets: 65 years or older).

A V.I.P. Reception with reserved seating is also available for $60.00, and begins at 7:00pm.

Proceeds for this event will benefit Grandma’s Backyard, a youth, and community outdoor urban green space for racial healing and reconciliation. Grandma’s Backyard will serve as a healing oasis for traumatized youth, and a safe recreational space to celebrate our diversity, practice inclusion, and create new cross-cultural encounters that will bridge the divide and foster the Beloved Community.
