Hoorah!! The Claude Moore Colonial Farm has won "Best Family-Friendly Festival" in Metro Washington, DC as decided by readers of Northern Virginia Magazine! Thank you! Join us and celebrate spring at the first Colonial Market Fair of the season at our living history working farm and National Park. The Spring Colonial Market Fair takes place on Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21 from 11 am until 4:30 pm. Play games, listen to music and interact with staff and volunteers in colonial costume and character. Watch a children’s puppet theater and make your own corn husk doll. See spinning and candle making. Enjoy the heritage breed animals on site including Ossabow pigs, chickens, geese and turkeys. Lunch available for purchase includes spit-roasted chicken, sausages, seasonal vegetables, cheeses and breads, roasted olives, cakes and more. The Colonial Tavern offers gravity poured cask beer as well as ale, wine, fresh ginger ale, lemonade and more. Herbs and flowering plants available for purchase as well as soaps, candles, 18th century clothing and jewelry. Affordable, fun and educational event. Great family outing. Free parking. The Claude Moore Colonial Farm is a privately operated and funded U.S. National Park and living history museum in McLean, VA. The Farm authentically recreates how Colonists lived and worked just before the American Revolution. The Claude Moore Colonial Farm offers self-guided tours as well as a vareity of events and programs throughout the season. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Children of all ages are welcome to attend with their parents. For those adults stopping by the Colonial Tavern an ID will be needed.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The Claude Moore Colonial Farm provides free parking in a lot at entrance and along the entrance road.
What can I bring into the event?
Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the season and walking shoes.

What's the refund policy?
The Spring Colonial Market Fair will be canceled only in the event of severe weather conditions. While the Claude Moore Colonial Farm does not refund tickets all proceeds will be directly applied to the programs and services of this privately operated National Park.
