Monday, April 14, 2014 at 10:00 AM - Friday, April 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM (AZOST)
Our camps are back in action with another season of great themes.
Monday - Baseball Stadium Treats
Each time we visit the ball park we're faced with so many great things to eat and we often wonder why don't we do them at home? So we're going to make some fo the Giants favorite items:
Cha Cha bowls
Baked Gilroy Garlic Fries
Crazy Crab Fried Calamari
Farmers Market Cart
Tuesday - Musicians
Katy Perry - The California Gurl loves BBQ Chicken Chopped salad, so we'll get healthy with a gluten free salad with plenty of tasty chicken.
Bruno Mars - Bruno comes from a background that included many cultures including Phillipino, so we'll create the national noodle dish of the Phillipines....Pancit!
Selena Gomez - She's been quoted as loving anything sour, so we'll make a quick batch of pickled vegetables including zucchini, carrots and bell peppers.
Rihanna - Coming from Barbados, Rihanna's favorite foods combine the spices of the island with locally available ingredients. Callaloo is a local stew dish that features vegetables (spinach in this case) that is stewed with herbs and spices.
Pitbull - Drawing from his latin roots, Pitbull enjoys "anything Cuban" so we'll create a great Cuban dessert, Flan.
Wed - American Idol Winners
Candice Glover - This year's winner celebrates with a dish she loves of Creamy Chicken and Noodles. We'll make a bechemel sauce then some oven baked chicken and perfectly boiled egg noodles.
Scotty McCreery - One of his favorite foods is broccoli. We'll make a fantastic Broccoli soup in support of our Idol winner.
Carrie Underwood - As a vegetarian for many years, she's not turned Vegan so we'll make a Vegan Chili that will make you want to become vegan too!
Kelly Clarkson - One of her favorite foods is Pizza Rolls. We'll make a great pizza sauce from scratch then add mozzerella cheese to create our version.
Taylor Hicks - As a health food advocate, Taylor really tries to steer clear of junk foods. We'll tip our hats to his in creating poached apples with a cinnamon sauce.
Thurs - The Hobbit
Our adventure begins with Buttered Scone and Bread. We'll then conjure up Gandalf's Pork Pie which are hand held savory treats. For high tea we'll make fancy crustless sandwiches of cucumber, egg and shrimp. Next is Deviled Eggs and lastly is Apple Tart for underworld day of culinary delights.
Friday - Hunger Games
Peeta Mellark, besides being the co-winner of the Hunger Games, is also an excellent baker. We'll create a herb filled foccacia as a tribute to District 12.
Katniss Everdeen archery skills are excellent for capturing meat, so in her honor, we'll make a Lamb Stew with lots of veggies and herbs.
District 11 focus is agriculture and we'll make a roasted carrot puree with honey and cinnamon. Its so good and good for you too.
From District 2 we'll use a brick to make Chicken Matone to caramelize the skin and cook the meat quickly.
Lastly, Cream Puffs are a luxury item from The Capitol and ours will be filled with whipped cream and fruit.
Cost is $325 for the week. Single days are also available for $75 per day.
