Please carefully review all information before making purchase:

Join us at Sotterley for family friendly educational activities that showcase the theme of Resilience during Spring Break!
Rain or shine. Check in at the Visitor Center. Walking and standing required, the historic house is not ADA compliant. Please dress appropriate for weather conditions.

Pricing: $5 per person ages 6 and up, per day; children under 6 FREE.
$45 for Family Spring Break Pass and attend all week.
$65 for a Family Membership and bring your family to Historic Sotterley all year! (www.sotterley.org).

MONDAY
10:30-11:30 am and 1:30-2:30 pm
Toy Chest: Learn how children years ago adapted and made many of their own toys and make one of your own to take home. Meet at Manor House Portico (riverside).

10:30-11:30 am and 1:30-2:30 pm
Happy Trails: Walk along the trails down to Sotterley Creek. On the way, we’ll stop and learn about the plants and animals that make Historic Sotterley their home. Meet at Warehouse.

TUESDAY

How It Floats: Have you ever wondered how a big boat can float on water? Learn about how things float and make your own little boat out of sticks, paper cups, and other items.
Meet at Warehouse.

Sand Table Archaeology: Archaeologists are people who dig up items from the past. Become a Sotterley Archaeologist and learn about artifacts, how to organize what you have found, and have fun digging in a large sand table. Meet at Corn Crib.

WEDNESDAY
10:30 -11:30 am and 1:30-2:30 pm
Better Butter: Come make better butter with us at the kitchen station. Learn about how people cooked and prepared food years ago and learn how to churn butter using a plastic bag. Meet at Spinning Cottage.

Keurig Gardening: Reduce, Re-use, and Recycle!!!! Re-use Keurig pods and take home your own garden by using the pods as seed starters. Meet at Corn Crib.

THURSDAY

Destination Pollination: Learn about one of the most important powerful pollinators around - the bee!!!! Walk through our Colonial Revival Gardens at Sotterley and discover how the mighty bee helps all of our plants grow. Meet at Corn Crib.

Old Thyme Horticulture: Learn more about the honey bee and other plants and animals. How did they get here?
Meet at Warehouse.

FRIDAY

Family-Friendly Manor House Tour: Check out the inside of this over 300 year old mansion and learn about all of the people who lived and worked here. Limited to 20 people. Sign up in the Visitor Center. First come, first served.

Proceeds from programming, membership and events support the education and preservation efforts of Historic Sotterley Plantation.

All sales are final, no refunds.
