WHAT IS PRE-ADVISING?

Pre-advising is an extended orientation to better prepare you for the journey ahead as a student at Polk State College. It also gives you an opportunity to meet a Student Success Advisor.

All new first-time-in-college (FTIC) students are REQUIRED to attend one Pre-Advising session AFTER orientation in order to register for classes. Current or new dual-enrolled, early admission, collegiate high school, re-enrolling, or bachelor’s degree-seeking students.
