Please join us for the Spring 2013 Convening of the California Network of Family Strengthening Networks (CNFSN) at First 5 Los Angeles in sunny Southern California! We will come together as network leaders to:
- Explore ways that networks can mobilize more effectively to strengthen families
- Learn about implementation of the Standards of Quality Support for Family
Strengthening & Support
- Connect with peers across the state for networking and mutual support
- Hear updates from the Family Strengthening and Support field statewide and
Each network – a group that serves as a convening body for 2 or more Family Resource Centers or Family Strengthening and Support Programs – is welcome to send up to 3 representatives who lead, facilitate or coordinate the network's activities.
For CNFSN Members whose dues are current, the cost is $20 per person. For non-members, it is $40 per person. The costs include continental breakfast, lunch and materials.

Both First 5 Los Angeles and the Miyako Hotel are within walking distance from Union Station in downtown Los Angeles. Union Station is served by a variety of public transportation systems. Because of the convenient downtown location of the venue, there is no need to rent a car if you are coming by plane or train. From Bob Hope Airport (Burbank): There are 10 Amtrak trains (7 days a week) and 29 Metrolink trains (Mon-Fri) that connect the Bob Hope Airport Train Station with Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles in a little over 30min.

Participants who are able to pay their own travel costs are asked to do so. For those paid members of the California Network of Family Strengthening Networks who are coming from more than 100 miles one way, and for whom travel expenses would be a hardship, limited travel scholarships are available on a first come, first served basis for up to 2 participants per network. Travel scholarships cover airfare, mileage, and lodging for one night at the CNFSN designated hotel (or up to $138 per night, including tax, at another hotel).
