Description
The Sports Shooter Academy 15 Open House is an evening of photography, education, inspiration and fun. This event is open to public and is being held in conjunection with the Sports Shooter Academy 15 workshop. If you are interested in photography, sports or sports photography, the SSA15 Open House is a cool event where you can meet and network with some of the best in the business.
Our keynote speaker is Jessica Carroll, Director of Major League Baseball Photos. The title of Jessica's talk is: A Happy Accident: How I landed my dream job without knowing it existed and will be touch upon baseball, the state of sports photography and working in a business dominated by men. This timely topic is one that photogaphers and students will not want to miss. Jessica will begin her presentation at 7:30PM and there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion involving the audience.
The SSA15 Open House will feature a trade show with the workshop sponsor and supporting companies including beginning at 5PM:
- Nikon Professional Services will be showing of their newest lenses and cameras including the D850, D5 and D500.
- Samy's Camera will be operating a retail outlet with special Sports Shooter Academy pricing.
- PocketWizard will have a technical representative showing off the company's line of radio triggering equipment and will be happy to answer all of your questions.
- David Honl founder of Honl Photo Speedlight Modifiers will demo'ing his line of gear for speedlights, plus offering special SSA discounts.
- Think Tank Photo, Manfrotto and MAC Group will all be showcasing their equipment in the Samy's Camera space at the Open House with representatives onhand to demo gear.
