Event description

Description

The Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission invite you along to a discussion on sports and human rights, with special guests who each have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the fields.

Caroline Rees is the President and CEO of Shift - a non-profit centre for business and human rights practice - where she shares her knowledge of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, having been a key adviser on their creation. We will also hear from the Chief Executive of the Commonwealth Games Federation, David Grevemberg CBE - formerly the Chief Executive of the Organising Committee for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. Appearing alongside them will be Jim Boyce OBE, who is the current Vice-President of FIFA, and previously served as President of the Irish Football Association from 1995 to 2007.

We're pleased to announce that Dr Lisa Bradley - Commonwealth Games Silver medallist and Head of Dept. of International Business at the University of Ulster - will be in attendance on the day as well.

Registration will start at 4pm, with tea and coffee before the event begins at 4:30pm.
