Rich Rivkin

A passion for live music and art has been the driving inspiration for Rich Rivkin who, since 2000, has been creating and producing innovative live events which take place at some of Long Island’s most scenic locations.

Rich’s events combine Live Painting with Live Music and have brought together a large number of musicians, artists, spectators and familiar faces who share common interest, and a tangible sense of community. The result has been more than just spectacular entertainment and new friendships as ongoing opportunities for advancement of the arts continue to materialize and expand for many of the participants.

The Rich Rivkin Presents brand has emerged as Long Island’s most prolific producer of Live Painting/Live Music events, featuring more than one-hundred regional artists who speed-paint to the inspiration of the music and audience interaction. A uniquely magical vibe takes hold as the artists’ brush strokes are directly influenced by the band’s music – which in turn engages the audience in a fun, human-feedback loop that fires up the musicians and stimulates the painters; an organic, interactive, multi-sensory experience for all.

As of 2012 Rich has produced a total of nineteen not-for-profit/benefit festivals, and hundreds of indoor events. His multi-themed Summer Arts Festival Series 2013 will be hosted at six North Shore parks/museums, and feature legions of artists painting to the music of dozens of live bands.

Rich is recipient of the 2013 Outstanding Advocate for the Arts Award, presented by the Long Island Arts Council at Freeport NY.

In addition to his focus on the arts, Rich is the father of two teenagers; and also holds the role of president at Enviro-Disposal Group in Greenlawn, NY, which specializes in recycling of contaminated soil.
