The Student National Medical Association (SNMA) Region VII Medical Education Conference will be held at Alpert Medical School of Brown University on Saturday, December 3, 2016 with the theme “Sit-ins and Stethoscopes: The Physician’s Role(s) in Pursuing Health Care Equity Through Advocacy”.
Every year our regional conference draws over a hundred students from all over the Northeast United States, making it our largest event of the year. This event promises to be a great opportunity to inspire the lives of many minority pre-medical and medical students. Workshops, panel discussions and hands-on activities will engage students in a wide range of subjects regarding Health Care Policy, Advocacy, and Disparity. Regardless of the future field of interest, we hope to show them the diverse ways in which a career in medicine can be used as a force for health care equity.
