A conversation with 2018-2019 I&II Abigail R. Cohen fellow, writer and filmmaker Xiaolu Guo, about her life and work in words and film.

About this Event

Xiaolu Guo is a British Chinese novelist, essayist and filmmaker. Her memoir NINE CONTINENTS received the National Book Critics Circle Award for Autobiography in 2017. An inaugural fellow at the Columbia Institute for ideas and imagination in 2018-19, where she was Abigail R. Cohen fellow. She is currently a writer in residence at the Weatherhead East Asian Institute, and a visiting professor in EALAC, ICLS, and the School of the Arts. She will be at the Maison Française for a discussion with Carol Gluck.
