Event description

Description

Tuesdays, 7 - 8:30pm
September 19 - November 21

A short course introducing and reacquainting participants with devotional practices from the Christian tradition such as hesychasm, lectio divina, composition of place, intercession, and other modes and stances of prayer drawing from Ignatius of Loyola, Clare of Assisi, Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross, Therese of Lisieux, and Anglican spirituality. We will discuss topics such as sacred time and place, mysticism, activism and service. Personal devotion prepares us for the Sunday assembly, and a running theme throughout will be the enhancement of the corporate body through individual vocation and spiritual practice.
