FOCUS
Baba Mandaza Kandemwa's gift of sharing his unique wisdom is rooted in the shamanic perspective informed by an ensouled, speaking world. Nobantu also brings her multi-disciplinary training, skills as an executive coach, and her long practice of Buddhist Dharma to the sessions, offering insight and a deepening inquiry, complimenting Mandaza's approach through Indigenous knowledge.
Baba Mandaza brings the spirit and voice of Earth Consciousness in a way that enables a paradigm shift that is truly exceptional. We are no longer "observers" of nature but an integral part of her living intelligence. Baba encourages us to "Go and talk to her in your own way, she will talk to you. She talks all languages, known and unknown. That is why she is a mystery."
In these sessions, Baba offers his understanding through guidance from messages he receives from the subtle realm of spirits of the earth, water, of the ancestors, and ancient ones. His words, in tandem with Nobantu's guidance, shine a valuable guiding light in our troubled times.
Baba also invites the sharing of dreams, not only to be interpreted personally but as dreams belonging to the collective. In this session, there is also the opportunity to share our dreams, which Baba explores with both the dreamer and the group until the deeper messages reveal themselves.
Baba Mandaza is a man of peace and prayer. He speaks to how we are all in training as peace workers. He often says that this means we will all be given tasks in un-peaceful places and times, alongside the challenges we need to help grow our capacity as Elders and guides. To spend time with Baba and Nobantu is to learn the way of African understanding.
About Baba Mandaza
Mhondoro Mandaza Augustine Kandemwa was born a Svikiro, in Shona meaning one who is a medium for spirits. Baba Mandaza is a carrier of many earth and water spirits and is Mhondoro, a special designation in Zimbabwe for indigenous healers, which means "lion spirit." He is one who is in constant prayer on behalf of others.
As a traditional healer and visionary, and as a vessel of the spirits, Baba Mandaza receives visions and dreams, makes offerings, performs healing rituals, and serves as a messenger for the Ancient Ones. Baba Mandaza teaches us to become "living prayers" so we can be in service of the One Spirit that exists in all things.
Baba Mandaza lives in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and has traveled far and wide as a Peacemaker. As an emissary of Mother Nature and guides retreats, healing ceremonies, and gatherings around the world.
Baba's Words on Mother Nature
"I love to call her Creator, myself. Humanity has forgotten where we came from. We actually came from the earth. This is the truth that has been forgotten by humankind. She is Mother Earth. She is the Creator. She is the giver of everything. Everything that we know of. You are holding a cup of tea there in your hands. That cup came from Mother Earth.
You are wearing warm clothes because it is cold, all these clothes came from Mother Earth. And your body is from Mother Earth. When this body leaves the soul, it goes back to its mother. What comes from Mother Earth goes back to Mother Earth."
