Description
Taste through more than 40 spirit brands, including New York State Distillers, and mingle with cocktail writer Jason Wilson (contributor to the NYTimes, author of "Godforsaken Grapes: A Slightly Tipsy Journey through the World of Strange, Obscure, and Underappreciated Wine").
At 1 p.m., Don Cazentre (NYup.com, author of "Spirits & Cocktails of Upstate New York: A History") will present stories about forgotten, vintage cocktails in Upstate New York, including the "Mamie Taylor," which has ties to Charlotte.
Entry includes samples of up to 16 spirits.
A cash bar featuring drink specials and bar snacks will be available at Bar Bantam in the lobby of The Metropolitan.
