Spirit of Women Event
Thu, May 11, 2017, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM BST
INSPIRING YOU TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP AND ACHIEVE YOUR ASPIRATIONS
“A real treat. A pamper day for the soul. Inspired a renewed passion for my future.”
Inspirational Speakers will host half hour talks, sharing ideas and tips to help women find and achieve their aspirations. There is a huge amount of press coverage about Women Returners to the Corporate World at the moment. Much as we would love to see more successful senior women we know that this does not appeal to everyone - so this event will be an exciting mix of entrepreneurs, start-ups, volunteers as well as corporates.
Key note speaker CHRISTINA SCOTT - Chief Technology Officer at News UK, mother, wife and friend. Christina has been consistently voted in the Top 100 list of CIOs, ranking at number 3 and 4 in the last years. How does she manage a successful career with 3 young children? Infused with humour, we will hear her story.
Other Speakers include:- Diane Chandler, prize-winning author, Emma Skitt, neuro-science expert and coach, Julia Cassels, artist, Clare Laughland, Interior designer, Yasmin Jeelani, 'befriending children in foster care' project worker, Sarah Austin, really helpful club, Laura Pettit, recruiter, Lisa Spencer-Arnell and Denise Kelly, emotional energy management, health and wellbeing. All our speakers are role models and motivators for success.
Exhibition Stands will be hosted by people who value you and want to help you find your true vocation and passion and support you to achieve your aspirations. Some will be looking to recruit people like you, others will be offering to support and help you achieve your goals, others enticing you with voluntary work and a few will be inviting you to sample their services.
The Spirit of Women photography exhibition – in collaboration with Hot Chilli Connect – shines a light on wonderful, bright women. Some learning to juggle work and family, and some who’ve just about cracked it.
Mingle with like-minded women and friends over a cup of coffee or a glass of prosecco at this fascinating, unique and eclectic event! An agenda of speakers will be published closer to the date. The idea is to stroll around the exhibits in between the sessions and perhaps nip out for a relaxed lunch with friends. The Tate Modern is just next door. A list of restaurants will also follow.
