Event description

Description

Instrutor: Julia Lee; OHS Coordinator/ Instructor

What better way to showcase your spinning than to hang it on the wall! This workshop briefly discusses the steps involved in creating a knitted tapestry picture, starting from a fleece: washing, dyeing, teasing, carding, blending, spinning, plying, knitting, finishing and mounting. Students will develop their own designs, and will have hands-on opportunities to try many of these steps (teasing, carding, blending, spinning, and plying) to create the perfect yarn to knit (or weave) into their own design.

Skill Level: Must have the ability to spin a continuous thread.
