Spice Time Credits - breakfast & information Event
Wed, April 26, 2017, 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM BST
Join us for breakfast on Wednesday 26th April to learn more about how Spice Time Credits, a time based currency, is helping to build communities and improve health and wellbeing.
People earn a printed Time Credit for each hour they volunteer in the community or a service. They can then spend this on an hour's activity in that place, or across the community, on activities such as swimming or going to the theatre. They can also access Spice’s regional and national network of spend partners, such as the Tower of London.
Spice work across health and social care, housing, community development and education, supporting organisations and services to use Time Credits to achieve their outcomes.
In the East of England, our Time Credits programmes in West Norfolk and Cambridgeshire have been developed in partnership with local authorities to achieve excellent outcomes for communities in the areas of skills and employability, sustaining organisational growth and encouraging more people new to volunteering to regularly give their time. The impact of the Cambridgeshire programme has been recognised with an MJ Award for Excellence in Community Engagement.
Time Credits transform the way local authorities, CCGs and voluntary sector agencies engage with communities by mobilising individuals and social networks as the core agents of change. Join us on Wednesday 26th April to learn more about how you can get involved.
This will be an opportunity to meet and hear from Spice's new CEO Ian Merrill.
Please share this invitation with colleagues and across your networks - the event is open to all, but please book your place in advance via Eventbrite.
Parking is available behind the Centre. The car park entrance is off Waterworks Street (Sat Nav: IP4 1JG).
