Event Details

Have you ever noticed that we researchers often operate in "silos"?  Have you ever wished it was easier to find research partners, and maybe collaborate with individuals from other disciplines?  If you answered yes to either of those questions, then perhaps we have just the event for you.  Join us for “Speed Networking for Researchers” and we will help you find a research connection.

Purpose of the Event:  To promote research collaboration across disciplines and across campuses.  "Scholars who collaborate are more prolific and publish in higher quality peer-reviewed journals that those who choose to work independently" - Abramo, D'Angelo & Solazzi.

The Applied Research Center at Morningside College is hosting a Speed Networking for Researchers event on March 24, 2018. The event is an opportunity for you to find a "research match" that might otherwise never have occured.  Fellow scholars in the social sciences, education, and the learning sciences from regional colleges and universities (Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota) are invited to attend.

Awards:The graduate Education Department at Morningside College will offer 3 awards (upto $1000) for research collaborations that stemmed from this event and successfully result in a publication in a peer-reviewed journal or a paper presented at a conference. Application instructions for the awards will follow.
