Crafting Your Elevator Pitch/Speed Networking Night
The average attention span for adults is 12 seconds.
You have a message; an idea; a pitch that you want to communicate to someone.
How are you supposed to do this?
When time is of the essence, and networking is vital to achieving professional success, having a clear and concise message, or "elevator pitch" is crucial.
"Crafting Your Elevator Pitch/Speed Networking Night" presented by Matthew Temple (KSM93), Director, Kellogg Alumni Career Services. Matthew will guide attendees through an interactive workshop, providing real world examples and key tips to creating an effective elevator pitch. This workshop has been presented to Kellogg alumni in 13 cities and 5 countries.
* Create and deliver your "elevator pitch" to a small group of 5 to 8 people
* Receive feedback on your "elevator pitch"
* Network with other alumni in a structured setting
Everyone will benefit from this program, including creatives, new professionals, experienced managers, career changers, and entrepreneurs.
Whether you are uncomfortable with networking or simply want an opportunity to practice and receive feedback, this evening promises to be a fun and valuable experience. The event is very structured, so you don't have to worry about who to approach or what to say.
Bring lots of business cards and a sense of humor!

The NUEA West is an organization run by Northwestern Alumni who volunteer their time to create programs and events to benefit members in the Los Angeles area.
Our NU Entertainment Alliance has been very successful at helping to launch and sustain the careers of many NU alumni and has been used as the model for alumni organizations of other schools.
Programs and events are funded almost exclusively from member dues and annual fundraising events. We thrive only because of the ongoing involvement and participation of our members.
