Event description

Description

This workshop will provide advanced hands-on instruction on how to extract mineralogical and lithological information from HyLogger-derived hyperspectral data obtained from diamond drillcore.

Presenters: Carsten Laukamp (CSIRO), June Hill (CSIRO), Monica LeGras (CSIRO), Andrew Rodger (CSIRO), and Heta Lampinen (UWA) assisted by GSWA geologists Trevor Beardsmore and Paul Duuring.

Requirements: Participants must bring their own laptop for hands-on case studies using The Spectral Geologist (TSG) software package. One-day TSG licences will be installed on laptops at the beginning of the workshop. Closed shoes, hand lens, and scribe are also required.

Catering: Morning and afternoon teas, and a light lunch, will be provided. Please advise of any dietary requirements when registering.

Parking: Perth Core Library, 37 Harris Street, Carlisle. Free parking is available inside the main gate on Harris Street. Arriving vehicles will be directed to appropriate parking bays by Core Library staff.
