Event description

Description

Understanding soil is key to both growing plants in the classroom as well as gardening outdoors. We will examine various properties of soils to figure out how they function to support life. Activities we will complete are not only applicable to the classroom but will also increase your own knowledge. Literacy and math strategies will be incorporated throughout the day.

This workshop is open to teachers for grades 2 - 8, and will be located in the Education Building.

Note: Queens Botanical has applied for CTLE status but we have not yet received notification and thus cannot guarantee that hours will be accepted for CTLE credit.
