Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom and Farm to School
Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom is a program of the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, Oklahoma State Department of Education, and the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service. The purpose of Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom is to help familiarize Oklahoma school children with Oklahoma's food and fiber industry by providing resources for Oklahoma teachers. We have over 300 cross curricular lessons for grades PreK-12 which are all aligned to the Oklahoma Academic Standards.
Farm to School brings Oklahoma grown food into school cafeterias giving students the opportunity to taste farm fresh foods and learn how their food is grown. It inspires farmers to sell their products to schools and encourages schools to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables as well as other healthy, local products from Oklahoma farmers.
