Description

Ford Foundation JustFilms and Philanthropy New York present a special screening of

“God Loves Uganda”

Directed by Roger Ross Williams

“God Loves Uganda” explores the role of America’s evangelical Christians in a strident campaign to foment anti-gay sentiment in Africa. In Uganda, where an Anti-Homosexuality Bill is gaining widespread support, Academy Award-winning filmmaker Roger Ross Williams follows American and local religious leaders as they attempt to eliminate “sexual sin” and convince Ugandan society that the Bible is on their side.

Please join us for a screening of this powerful documentary, followed by a discussion with the filmmaker, Reverend Kapya Kaoma who is featured in the film and Juliet Victor Mukasa, an LGBTI and transgender activist from Uganda.
