Special Olympics Colorado - MedFest
Fri, April 28, 2017, 9:15 AM – 3:00 PM MDT
The Special Olympics Colorado MedFest is a health screening that provides the necessary sports physicals to Special Olympics athletes allowing them to engage in programming year-round.
We are seeking certified medical professionals such as:
- Nurse Practitioners
- Physician Assistants
- Nursing/Medical Students
- Nurse’s Aides
- Medical Technicians
- Athletic Trainers
Clinical volunteers will help complete a sports physical, including height and weight, vision, and blood pressure. The majority of the students attending this MedFest event will be individuals with intellectual disabilities who require a physical to participate in Special Olympics Colorado sports and programs.
General volunteers will assist with student and school check-in and check-out as well as help with data entry of the physicals.
There will be snacks and water for all volunteers - please feel free to bring anything additional you may need! Each volunteer will receive a MedFest t-shirt to wear at the event, so you will be easily identifiable. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and avoid sweatpants. We ask that you bring your own stethoscope, if you have one.
Free parking is available on-site. The shift begins at 9:15am, please be prompt as there will be a brief orientation.
