Event description

Description

Los Angeles' WYO (by way of Jackson, Wyoming) makes cinematic music inspired by the imposing landscapes and majestic mountains of frontman Andy Sorge's hometown of Wyoming. Their sophomore album, "Changes", takes the listener on a ten-track musical journey spanning up-tempo, melody driven tracks and lush ballads that follow the story of a couple who are trying to stick together while a force in their lives keeps pulling them apart.

Collaborating with producer Brad Wood (Smashing Pumpkins, Pete Yorn), allowed the band to push their songwriting abilities to a new level as showcased on tracks like “On Your Own” and “Do It Alone.” Their sound has led them to play SXSW, LACMA, Jam In The Van, and School Night and to share the stage with Robert Earl Keen, Avi Buffalo, Whitehorse, Laura Jean Anderson, Wild Moccasins, Beginners and more.

The Sounds, The Stories is an eclectic music series featuring live performances and entertaining discussions with emerging and established artists.

A podcast series produced in partnership with Brew Sessions Live and supported by the Orange County Community Foundation, Jane Deming Fund. Watch short documentary edits of each program on YouTube. Join our mailing list and subscribe to the Creative + Cultural Podcast on Apple or Spotify.
