Event Details

Whether you are a serious runner getting ready for the upcoming race season, an avid walker logging steps on your pedometer, or just inspired to get up, get out, and get moving, Speare Memorial Hospital's Shamrock Shuffle is the event for you. 

This event was developed in response to an identified community health need to live a more active lifestyle. Speare's Shamrock Shuffle 5K encourages participants of all ages and abilities. The event is not officially timed, as our focus is to encourage families and all community members to take steps toward a more active lifestyle.

Be sure to dress in green to celebrate the St.Patrick’s Day theme. Completing the course is sure to raise your heart rate and your spirits as we get ready to welcome spring. Proceeds from the event will support Speare’s community outreach and health education programs.

The first 150 registered walkers and runners are guaranteed their requested shirt size and the first 300 finishers will receive a Speare Shamrock Shuffle medal. The event will take place no matter rain, sleet, snow or shine.

Please Note: If you register in advance, you can pick up your packets from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. in the Speare front lobby, on Friday, March 16th.

Whether you are participating or cheering from the sidelines, it’s sure to be a fun morning full of the luck of the Irish, in downtown Plymouth.

Registration Fee

$10/per person + online fee  Children age 5 and under are free, but must be registered.

Race Start 10 a.m.

The Course
Start and finish are at the Plymouth Regional High School. The course is a 5K through the streets/neighborhoods of Plymouth offering a mix of straight flats, short hill climbs and easy downhill trots.

Participant Waiver and Release of Liability. Your online registration for the Speare Shamrock Shuffle is your acknowledgment of the following;

I know that running/walking a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run/walk unless I am medically able. I assume all risks associated with running/walking this event including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather and road conditions; all such risks being known or of which I am aware and which are understood by me. I hereby further understand that and knowingly undertake the risks inherent in the conditions of the road and traffic on or near the course. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release of Speare Memorial Hospital all other sponsors, their representatives and successors or assigns from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event. I hereby give my permission to the event organizers and sponsors to use my name and/or picture in any publication, broadcast, telecast or other account of this event without limitation or obligation of further compensation thereof.
