Event description

Description

The GrandParents Support Network KC's speaker series began in January 2017. This is the third session of the series! Sessions will be held on a Saturday of every month spanning January to September (excluding March). We will have speakers on a variety of topics including Trauma and resilience, Financial planning, Advocating for yourself and your grandchild, Navigating the school system, Legal aid, Stress Management, and more!

The monthly events are free and parking is free. Childcare will be provided for grandchildren between the ages of 3 and 12. If you will be bringing your grandchildren, please let us know by registering them separately on the registration page. Refreshments will be provided, along with the opportunity to socialize and visit with other grandparents. We look forward to seeing you there!

The third speaker in our series is Andrew Johnson, who is an expert in financial planning. His presentation will focus on college planning, leaving an inheritance, and teaching children financial literacy. There will also be plenty of time to ask Mr. Johnson questions! Come learn and share your experience!

In addition to the presentation, there will be an opportunity to sign up for twice-monthly grandparent support groups at this event.
