Sparta Camera Club is hosting a one day Spring Event on Saturday, April 10, 2021. Speakers will include Tony Sweet, a fine art landscape and design photographer, and Joe Russo, a celebrity photographer. Unique Photo will also give a presentation on current trends in photography equipment.

Club Members are free and do not need to register. Non members are requested to pay a $10 entry fee.

Tony Sweet: 10 AM to 12 PM.

Lunch break: 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM

Unique Photo-Equipment Review: 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM

Joe Russo: 2 PM to 4 PM.

Tony Sweet is a landscape and design photographer. The focus of Tony’s talk will be to help us create work that stands out This is becoming increasingly difficult currently in the world of digital photography where there are upwards of 400,000,000 photos uploaded daily. Tony’s talk will provide us with ideas and suggestions on how we can rise above the sea of photographers by illustrating the many creative ways to set your work apart from the crowd. He will cover multiple exposures, swipes, long exposures, panoramic photography, and more.

Tony was named as a Nikon Legend Behind the Lens and has been published worldwide for over 35 years. He has authored 8 books, contributing to many others, co-produced an educational DVD series, and teaches and lectures throughout the US, Canada, Iceland, and Cuba. Joe Russo is a celebrity and events photographer. Joe will discuss the challenges and opportunities in photographing celebrities such as Jon Bon Jovi, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift. (We have included his photo of the Dalai Lama above.) In his talk, he will cover the main components and fundamentals of photography [i.e. lighting, composition, cropping, editing, etc.] supported with photo examples his work.
