CAMP INFORMATION

Camp Schedule: July 8-12, 9am-12:30pm, daily
Program Tracks: Art, Basketball, Dance, Musical Theatre, Soccer, and Softball (each child picks ONE activity)
Grade Levels: Completed K-5th grade. Please sign your child up considering the grade your child has completed.
Cost: $12* (Includes snacks each day and camp t-shirt)
Registration Deadline: Online registration is available until 6/23 (11:59pm). Limited registrations are available at the event, but t-shirt size cannot be guaranteed.
*Art program has an additional $10 art fee that provides your child with ALL art supplies needed for the entire week of camp.
Pre-game Event (packet pick-up): Sat. July 6 @9am-noon OR Sun. July 7 @noon-3pm
SPARK! Night: Save the date for end of camp celebration on Sunday, July 14 @5-7pm

ABOUT SPARK! Sports & Arts Camp

SPARK! sports and arts camp is a week-long mini-camp where children who have completed K-5th grade will have the opportunity to develop their skills as an athlete or artist, meet new friends, and have a blast while learning important skills and truths that will change their lives!

The camp is hosted by Canaan Baptist Church and is operated by qualified, background-checked church staff and volunteers who will teach, coach, and supervise all camp activities. Canaan is committed to providing a safe, Christian atmosphere where children can explore new skills or improve in an existing sport or art.

Activities include art, basketball, dance, musical theatre, soccer and softball. But that's not all! Children will also enjoy upbeat rallies, energetic music, and Bible stories that will lead them to grow in character and excel in life. Are you ready to sign up? We look forward to hearing from you!

SPARK FAQ's

What does a typical day at SPARK look like?
Camp will open and close each morning with fun music, hilarious skits and a high-energy camp-wide rally. Kids will divide into teams determined by their age group and the sport or fine arts track for which they signed up. They will rotate through practice for their track, learning about missions, Bible time, and of course, snack time!

What does the camp registration fee include?
All activities, snacks & drinks, and a camp t-shirt. Please note that the art track includes an additional $10 fee that provides your child with ALL art supplies for the entire week of camp.

What is the Pre-game event and do I need to plan to attend?
Saturday, July 6 @9am-noon OR Sunday, July 7 (noon-3pm)
Pre-game event is a time to pick up your SPARK packet (includes t-shirt and camp wristbands). It is STRONGLY recommended to plan to attend the pre-game to avoid crowds & long waits. Packet pick-up will be available Monday, July 8th but you will need to be prepared to wait in a long line.

What does my child need to bring to camp?
All campers need to wear their camp t-shirt and wristbands each day. They must wear tennis shoes and activity appropriate clothing. Baseball & Soccer are outdoors, so please apply sunscreen before camp each day. Campers are encouraged to bring water bottles (labeled with name). All balls will be provided by the church. DO NOT bring personal balls.

Baseball campers should bring a baseball glove and bat. Batting helmets and hats are recommended. Soccer campers are recommended to wear shin guards each day.
