Spark Innovation: Speed Mentoring for Fempreneurs
Sat, March 25, 2017, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM EDT
Are you a fempreneur that wants your business to stand out from the crowd? Innovation is the key. According to a 2016 Institute for women’s policy research women make up only 7.7 percent of primary inventors who hold patents? At the current rate of progress, gender equality among patent-holders is more than 75 years away—meaning that women won't close the "patent gap" until 2092. We want to encourage and support more women in developing technology-enabled products. We want women all over the world to take advantage of and benefit from innovation in the digital age.
WHAT IS SPEED MENTORING?
If you've heard of speed dating, then it's kind of like that only without all the difficult small talk and bad potential dates. You bring your burning questions, concerns, hopes & dreams to the table and the professional sitting across from you provides you with her/his insights and advice for how to tackle it, think about it differently and DO business differently to bring about the change you desire.
During International Women’s Month, we are bringing women together in a creative, fast-paced innovative atmosphere. Our event partner General Assembly (www.generalassembly.com), who is a pioneer in education and career transformation has been gracious enough to host us at their Atlanta campus.
As an attendee, you will have the opportunity to choose from several mentors who are the most influential women and subject matter experts in the community for one-on-one mentoring sessions. Our mentors are experts in a wide range of topics including branding, intellectual property law, sales, innovation and digital marketing. We expect every attendee to have the opportunity for one-on-one mentoring with 3-4 mentors. This fast-paced event will be productive, fun and be fulfilling as you will get the opportunity to meet other fempreneurs and gain insights that you can implement in your business immediately.
