About this Event
The only event of its kind to bring the Space Applications sector together under one roof to network and connect across the community. Now in its third year, Space to Connect is a day long event which will give you the opportunity to meet new companies, organisations, and individuals who are innovating at the forefront of the Space Applications sector, as well as others new to this journey.
It will provide you the chance to explore the future opportunities coming up in Space Applications, meet potential new collaborators, and perhaps find a new business partner or consortium member. There will also be thematic sessions from wider industry with presentations and information updates throughout the day, including best practice sessions to help you turn your Space Application ideas into reality.
Come along to this free to attend event and celebrate the growth in the Space Applications sector including how we are working with our international partners.
Lunch will be provided and the day will conclude with a Networking Drinks Reception sponsored by the European Space Agency Business Applications and Space Solutions team.

Government use of space data – (Mountbatten) Space data can change the way that government does business by providing geospatial intelligence on a local, regional and national level. During this session we will explore how space data is already being used by government departments, as well as the further opportunities for using space data strategically with existing and new services.
Health – (Windsor) Chaired by Emily Gravestock (UKSA) and John Vesey (Satellite Applications Catapult). A showcase from companies using satellites to support both preventative and supportive healthcare.

Global Opportunities – (Mountbatten) Your customers are global, and the opportunity is growing. This panel session will give you a better understanding of this growing market; an insight into the UK Government’s International plans; how you can access local export support; how you may use novel approaches to uncover new opportunities; and how you can learn from the experiences of market leaders.
Challenge – Solution workshop – (Cambridge) In this interactive and facilitated session delegates will work in small groups, finding solutions to challenges posed by Teignbridge District Council and The Environment Agency. Both organisations have used free satellite imagery made available by the Space for Smarter Government Programme’s (SSGP) Data Procurement Initiative. CEO of Spottitt Ltd, Lucy Kennedy will also highlight how they have used the Data Procurement Initiative to develop work with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust and West Midlands Combined Authority.

European Space Agency – (Mountbatten) Are you new to ESA and the Business Applications programme? Do you want to get some top tips and find out what opportunities are currently open and coming in the new year? Come and see behind the curtain in this session which aims to take you from “novice” to “pro” giving you more confidence when you fill in your project proposal documents and working with ESA.
Sustainable Development – (Windsor) This session will give the audience an overview on how Space-applications are increasingly relevant to developing world challenges.
