Description
Many of us find ourselves overwhelmed by never ending to-do lists, kids' schedules, stress in the work place, sports practices, and what we see in the news with little time to slow down, remove the distractions, and remember to breathe.
Sometimes we need to be told it's okay to take time to care for ourselves. It's okay to need space. It's good to breathe.
Join us for a day of nourishing food; yoga, mindfulness meditation, quiet time with optional guided prompts to help you to make sense of what is going on in your head and your heart; and discussion on what it means to live a healthy, balanced life. Each Space to Breathe event has a different theme. The March theme is Simplifying Life, and we will be discussing how to de-clutter your living space, your life and your mind so that you can show up more present in your life and relationships. We will guide you through both energizing and restorative yoga practices, simple meditation/relaxation, mindful eating, and offer time to be still as well as a mindful hike through the beautiful grounds surrounding the lodge. Rather than trying a new diet or adding more to the to-do list, begin the new year by nourishing your body from the inside out and walk away with practical resources to set yourself up for a healthy, whole, balanced year.
Whether you come alone or bring a friend [or a group of friends!], we'd love for you to enjoy a day free of stress and full of health.
No prior yoga experience is necessary. Yoga mats and props will be available but if you have a favorite mat go ahead, bring it along. Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary or medical concerns so we can adapt the food and yoga practices to meet your needs. Ages 13-18 may attend if accompanied by an adult. Program size is limited.
