From Idea to Commercialization -
Guiding Innovation Activities Toward Success

The fourth Space Innovation Forum invites you to a journey in product development and innovation. Gain insight and strengthen the space innovation system as you learn, work, and share experiences with the most established players of Sweden's space industry and academy. GKN, OHB, Nanospace and SSC participates with RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden) and Widefind, an ESA BIC start-up venture. The workshop is facilitated by experienced professors in product innovation, Anna Öhrwall Rönnbäck, and Peter Törlind at Luleå University of Technology.

Erik Ronne, Head of Open Innovation at RISE

Open Innovation has for the last decade revolutionized the industry. From being a rare approach used only by a handful of companies in Life Sciences, Open Innovation is today used by the majority of the Fortune 500 companies. Open Innovation tools have moved from being used only when internal R&D did not deliver to being a well-integrated instrument in a majority of larger companies innovation strategies, and is a preferred way to conduct new product development. This lecture will be a general introduction to Open Innovation and how it is used in larger global companies. Dr. Erik Ronne will also address the Open Innovation ecosystem in the Scandinavian countries.

Meet some of the technology transfer specialists in the sector for Aeronautics, Space and Dual Use Technologies within the Enterprise Europe Network - The key organisation for business agreements across the EU-borders, with a vast network of companies, research centers and academies connected to the industry. They will be participating on day 1.

Transport

There's airport bus transfers adjacent to the arrival and departing of flights, se schedule here. Leave the bus at the last stop (police station/town centre).

You can travel here by flight with Norwegian or SAS from Stockholm. If you live close to Umeå there's a direct SAS flight to Kiruna due to a stopover between Stockholm and Kiruna.

If you choose to come here by train, there is free bus transfers adjacent to the arrival and depature of the train to and from the bus station in the centre of the city. Se schedule here.
