Who we are: SozialMarie is a Vienna based award for socially innovative projects from Central and Eastern Europe. Out of the 299 applications from Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia, 35 successful projects have been nominated by independent evaluators and an expert-jury for the SozialMarie.

Award ceremony: The 15 winners are a secret, it will be a surprise for participants as well as for the projects who will win 2021’s awards(?)!

Guests: Friends, family and colleagues of the nominated projects, journalists from SozialMarie-countries and of course anyone interested in social innovation is welcome to join our live award ceremony on Zoom! Nominated projects will join us with their camera, other interested participants will be able to watch the ceremony.

We will make it as fun as 2D can get. Stuart Freeman (FM4 Radio moderator and DJ) will moderate the event and virtually hand over the prizes to winning projects. This year's patron will select one of the nominated projects and offer mentoring throughout 2021.
