So...You Want to Start a Business?

October marks the last quarter of this year. That means, we have 90 days left in 2018. If it was your new year’s resolution to finally birth your business, and you have yet to do so--it is not too late! Whether you are struggling to meet your goals or you just simply do not know what to do or where to start, this interactive workshop is for you.

After this workshop, participants will know how to:

• Identify the best legal structure (ex: Corporation, LLC, Non-profit) for their business

• Identify and understand their target audience and how to specifically market to that audience.

• Develop a tangible action plan with measurable and attainable year-end goals (yes, participants will leave with an action plan)

• Pitch a compelling story to their target audience…and communicate their unique selling proposition (A pitch will be developed in the workshop).

All participants will be given a business toolkit at the end of the workshop.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is free parking at the venue.

What can I bring into the event?

Please bring a laptop or tablet. You will be actually working (developing action plans, business pitch, etc.). You will also need to access the internet for documents. Free wifi available.

What's the refund policy?

No refunds will be issued.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes, please bring your printed ticket. You can also show it on your mobile device.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes, your registration and ticket is transferrable. However, the event organizer must be notified of the person attending in your place (via email) prior to the workshop.
