The Grand Divisions Production Company is happy to announce the second performance of "Southern Storytellers" series. On January 15th actors, screenwriters, filmmakers, and film fans will come together at Watkins College of Art, Design & Film to participate in a night of engaging storytelling featuring "Where Three Roads Meet," by screenwriter Dale McCarver.
Where Three Roads Meet is Ancient Greek Tragedy set in rural Tennessee. The hero struck a deal with The Fates (God), but it's a deal no human can keep. His sins are visited upon his family. All secrets are revealed and no one escapes unpunished. The story has a hero who battles The Fates—and lust, lies, incest, murder, a wise Oracle, and a church sign that doubles as Greek chorus.
“Southern Storytellers” is a modern radio play series recorded in front of a live audience which shines a spotlight on Tennessee-based screenwriters and actors. Each performance in the series features professional actors performing a dramatic table read of a screenplay from Tennessee-based screenwriters. After each table read the audience is given the opportunity to participate in live Q&A with the screenwriter as well as the opportunity to provide anonymous, written, feedback on each screenplay.
The performance will be held on January 15th, 2017. Doors open at 5:00pm. “Southern Storytellers” is sponsored by Watkins College of Art, Design & Film and will be held in the 196 seat screening theater on the Watkins campus. The event is free and open to the public, food and drink are available for $5 a ticket.
Don't forget to pre-order your "Tennessee Indie Film" tee when you reserve your ticket! Available in unisex in heather grey and ladies cut in heather green, these tees are an awesome way to show support for Tennessee's indie film community!
