Southern Pine Beetle in the Northeast Research and Management Forum
On March 8th, leading research scientists and land managers from the southern and northeastern United States and locally will highlight the natural history and regional range expansion of the southern pine beetle and present advancing research on forest susceptibility, impact assessments and integrated pest management strategies to help guide and inform southern pine beetle management in the Northeast.
A field trip to southern pine beetle impacted sites will be conducted on the second day of the forum to examine and discuss the local impacts caused by southern pine beetle and the management efforts being employed to suppress its spread. Registration is free; however, preregistration is required.
Agendas and registration forms will be mailed in January 2017.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
A valid form of government issued identification will be necessary to recieve access to Brookhaven National Laboratory.
