Event description

Description

This event will convene to address the food policy goals and objectives of Southern Nevada Strong (SNS)) as outlined in their comprehensive vison plans (http://sns.rtcsnv.com/our-plan/) for the future of our valley. As a strategy to establish concrete action to strengthen sustainable food systems in Nevada, the mission of the Southern Nevada Food Council will be revisited.

Additionally, the meeting will conclude with a message from Dr. Wayne Roberts, a Canadian food policy analyst and writer, widely respected for his role as the manager of the [Toronto Food Policy Council], a citizen body of 30 food activists and experts that is widely recognized for its innovative approach to food security, from 2000-2010.
