Event description

Description

Traditional Jambalaya and Corn Bread Donuts will be the focus of this Southern Classic Series. This is the second of the Southern Classic Series but you don't have to take them as a series, you can jump into any of these classes.  Jambalaya is a Louisiana Creole dish of Spanish and French (especially provencal) influence.  It consists of meat and vegetables mixed with rice.  Traditionally, the meat always includes sausage of some sort, often a smoked sausage such as Andouille, along with some other meat or seafood, frequently port, chicken, crayfish, or shrimp.  The vegetables are usually a sofrito-like mixture known as the "holy trinity" in Creole and Cajun cooking, consisting of onion, celery, and green bell pepper, though other vegetables such as carrots, tomatoes, chillies and garlic are also used.  Chef Jamie also claims she has the best recipe for Corn Bread Donuts too!  Definitely bring your appetite!  Adults  Class Limited to 20 and Cost is $30
