Southern Africa Water Investment Summit 2016 is scheduled for the 19th & 20th of October 2016 at the Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC) in Gaborone, Botswana.
The Summit will bring together policy-makers, regulators, water service providers, utility asset managers, non-governmental organizations, water resource managers, development partners, financiers and institutional investors to explore mechanisms for aiding the delivery of integrated solutions including, integrated catchment management, water cycle planning, partnership working, and the consideration of ecosystem services. The summit will aid the preparation of a report that will help identify priorities and mechanisms for more effective water resource integration.
The alternative funding of the water infrastructure and development, including other water sustainability issues will also be explored. The Summit will also highlight other water, and water related projects which are taking place throughout the SADC region, also indicating key challenges and opportunities within the projects, adequately covering issues relating to partnership opportunities and other infrastructure needs.
