Join us for the first annual Southeast Regional Literacy Conference hosted by the Southeast CORE Office. This is a FREE event for PreK-12 educators and will address literacy in all content areas. Limited space is available for this event, so be sure to register early.
The event will begin with Dr. Vicki Kirk, Deputy Commissioner of Education, as the keynote speaker and continue into a variety of breakout sessions focused on all areas of literacy. As a bonus, Jan Lanier will be sharing her expertise on instructional literacy practices for ELL students.
Additional FAQs are listed below. If you have a specific questions about the event, please feel free to contact the event organizer through this registration page.
Can I update or cancel my registration information?
Yes! In fact, we anticipate a full event. If you are unable to attend, canceling your registration allows another educator to benefit from our event. To change or cancel your registration before the date of the event, log in to your Eventbrite account and follow the provided instructions. Please contact Julie Deichert (Julie.Deichert@tn.gov) if you need help changing or canceling your registration.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes. Bringing your printed ticket to the event will make registration much faster. You may bring the ticket printed on paper or access it through the mobile ticket option listed in your registrion email. If you forget your ticket or are unable to print it before the event, we will have a help desk available to support you.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
We would encourage to make the changes to your ticket and registration before the event occurs. However, in the event that this happens, we will have a help desk available to support you. It is important that the person attending is ultimately registered for attendance credit for this event.
Will PDP points or TASL credit be available for the event?
PDP points are available for this incredible literacy event! Attendees will receive an email confirmation of attendance shortly after July 14, 2017. While we have not received final confirmation, we anticipate the ability to certify attendance for TASL credit.
What are my parking options for the event?
Free parking will be available on campus. A limited number of handicap spaces will also be available for the event.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
