Description

From individual consumer shopping and electronic (cashless) payment systems to driverless cars and Internet of Things (IoT), the consequences of an electronic security breach are high-priority issues for individuals, companies and organizations. Cyber Security and information assurance is a discipline that aims to combat computer, network and information crimes. In this 2 hour mini-school, designed specifically for community members and professionals, participants will learn about Cybercrime, why it is a critical issue for individuals, experience security demonstrations, and discuss approaches to protect your personal information and minimize security breaches. Dr. Jesús Borrego, Program Director of Information Technology in the School of Business, will lead the program, guiding participants through an exciting journey into the world of Cyber Security. Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance that can be used to request 2 CEU credits from professional organizations.
