VENUE DETAILS: The training is held in a large venue (sports hall) to allow a maximum number of attendees.  It can feel cold so please bring/wear layers.  There is plenty of parking but should the car park be full please use the leisure centre which is just a short distance further down Burnthill Lane, or car pool if possible.  If you get lost trying to find the venue please call Rugeley Community Ctr: 01889 579341. There is a town centre train station.  Refreshments are provided but please bring your own snacks/lunch.  Please bring a travel mug for refreshments to reduce use of disposable cups and save the enviroment a little bit!

COST/FUNDING:  2 training places offered per school and the package is free in year one as funding provided by South Staffordshire CCG's.  There is a charge per trainee in year two.

PACKAGE: 4 days of foundation training, termly networking for 2 hours and 5 supervision session of one hour, or 1.5 hour for 2 staff.  Plus, access to extensive resources via Dropbox such as necessary paperwork/worksheets/documentation to ensure a safe setup to offer a "Listening Ear" service.

In addition to this package additional training has always been offered on topics such as emotion coaching, attachment, bereavement, yoga/mindfulness, taster of theraplay, brief interventions using evidence based outcome measures, developing a whole-school approach to support pupils' mental health.  Furthermore, when I am aware of additinal opportunities I email the "HOPE" schools straightaway to ensure the best opportunity to book on e.g. eating disorder training, THRIVE training and to join the Mental Health Services-Schools Programme.

WHAT NOW? To sign up and participate, please ask the trainee to book on.

The venue is a short walk walk from the Rugeley town train station.  It is also close to shops to purchase lunch if you need to on the day.

Although the training is free for all that book on, there is a cost to running the event.  Therefore, due to past non-attenders taking places that go wasted there will be a charge for non-attendance on the day of £50.  This is only free and available to participating HOPE schools in South Staffordshire.
