The South Mountain Partnership's
Spring 2015 Partnership-Wide Meeting
9:30 AM to Noon, Friday, April 10, 2015
Adams County Agriculture and Natural Resources Center
Gettysburg, PA
Twice annually (Spring and Fall), the Partnership holds a Partnership-wide meeting in which all partners and interested parties are invited to come together and build relationships and collaborations. These meetings are a chance to:

Connect or reconnect with the Partnership, learning more about the initiative and on-going projects;

Build and strengthen a network amongst organizations working throughout the region;

Spark conversation and collaboration across political and sectorial boundaries;
-
Help partners understand opportunities to engage in the on-going work of the Partnership;

and allow partners to help define the direction of the Partnership.

Meeting Agenda
Informal networking, coffee, and light snacks will be available starting at 9:00 am
9:30 AM Welcome and Opening Remarks
Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Acting Secretary Cindy Dunn (invited) and Department of Agriculture Acting Secterary Russell Redding (invited) will provide welcoming remarks and discuss the Conservation Landscape model as it relates to collaborative efforts to sustain the special regions of Pennyslvania.
10:15 AM South Mountain Fruit Belt Economic Impact Study
The Adams County Office of Planning and Development will introduce efforts that are underwawy to assess the econmic value and significance of the South Mountain Fruit Belt, and highligh the process for conducting this study.
10:30 AM DCNR Partner Profile: Caledonia State Park
An introduction to Phillip Schmidt, new Park Manager at Caledonia State Parks, and an insider's perspective of the park.

11:00 AM Partner Profile: Volvo Construction Equipment
An introduction and overview from Volvo Construction Equipment (North American operations headquartered in Shippensburg, PA)
11:15 AM Michaux Cultural Landscape Asessment Update
Peter Benton (Heritage Strategies LLC) will offer an initial update on the Cultural Landscape Assessment underway on the Michaux State Forest; a discussion on structure and content will be included.
11:45 AM Partnership Updates and Announcements
An update from the Partnership on on-going activities, including:
- opening of the 2015 Mini-Grant program
- a previewing of the program for the upcoming May 1st Community Wellness Summit
