  • Climate Change Pilot Program in the the South Mountain landscape;
  • Lessons-learned and next steps for South Mountain Partnership since recently completing the 2018-2021 Strategic Plan;
  • Share announcements, updates and introductions;
  • Optional catered lunch with paid registration served in the mansion dining room following the presentations.

9:30 AM Welcome and Opening Discussion

Vince DiFilippo, Chair of the Cumberland County Commissioners will welcome attendees


10:00 AM Climate Change Pilot Program Launched in South Mountain Landscape

Greg Czarnecki of the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) will present this newly-launched DCNR initiative

11:00 AM What's Next? Improving the South Mountain Partnership

Katie Hess and others will share lessons learned and next steps from the recently completed 2018-2021 Strategic Plan


11:30 AM DCNR Partner Profile: Caledonia State Park

An introduction to Earl Hockenberry, new Park Manager at Caledonia State Park, and his perspective on his new role


11:45 AM Updates, Announcements, and Introductions

All attendees are encouraged to share announcements, updates, and introductions as a group

About the meeting: Twice annually (Spring and Fall), the Partnership holds a Partnership-wide meeting in which all partners and interested parties are invited to come together and build relationships and collaborations. These meetings are a chance to:
  • Connect or reconnect with the Partnership, learning more about the initiative and on-going projects;
  • Build and strengthen a network amongst organizations working throughout the region;
  • Spark conversation and collaboration across political and sectorial boundaries;
  • Help partners understand opportunities to engage in the on-going work of the Partnership;
  • and allow partners to help define the direction of the Partnership.
