Event description

Description

Join us for an exciting Teachers Workshop on Tuesday, July 24th in Bridgeton, NJ!

This teacher workshop will feature both in-class education and resources as well as field trips around Bridgeton, NJ.

Benefits of Participating

  • Learn interdisciplinary ways to translate the environmental experience to your classroom
  • Interact with environmental professionals
  • Earn 5 professional development hours upon completion

Join us to learn about the health and threats to South Jersey's local waterways and available resources you can incorporate into your classroom. We'll focus on the problem of stormwater, how it impacts our waterways, and how using "green infrastructure" (like rain gardens and rain barrels) can help address the issue. Field trips will include a visit to a local stream to learn about ecology and a guided tour of green infrastructure projects in and around Bridgeton, showcasing how communities and schools can get involved in protecting their water!

Lunch will be provided and registration will close on Thursday, July 19th, 2018. Space is limited so register today!

Please reach out to Kaitlin Collins at 302-655-4990 ext 108 or kcollins@delawareestuary.org with questions.
